COMPLIANCE AND PRODUCT CONFORMITY

Our Code of Conduct underscores the social responsibility of the Winterhalter Group of companies. It provides a guideline for lawful conduct as well as fairness and integrity in our internal dealings and in our relations with customers, suppliers, business partners and competitors.
The Code of Conduct is binding on all employees of the Winterhalter Group around the world.

Following an initiative of the ZVEI (German Electro and Digital Industry Association) and the VDMA (Mechanical Engineering Industry Association), we have affiliated ourselves with a cross-sector Code of Conduct.
This provides a sound benchmark of values that helps the Winterhalter Group of companies act responsibly in partnership.

To our Code of Conduct

Legislation under REACH specifies registration obligations for substances and mixtures, setting substance restrictions for substances, mixtures and products. In Germany, Winterhalter is classified as a downstream user under REACH; it is not subject to any registration obligations. We are aware of our responsibility to relay information in the supply chain if we become aware that components are incorporated in our products which contain SVHCs exceeding threshold values of more than 0.1 percent by weight.

Safety data sheets

The European Union’s RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substances) Directive regulates the restriction of the application of hazardous substances. The current RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU – often referred to as RoHS 2 – sets limits for heavy metals, various plasticisers and brominated flame retardants in electrical and electronic equipment, and more. From 22/07/2019, the law will also take effect for Winterhalter electrical appliances that have not previously come within the scope of validity.

In Germany, Winterhalter is certified on the basis of the following standards: ISO 9001, ISO 14001 (environment) and OHSAS 18001/ISO 45001 (occupational health and safety). Independent audits help us refine our path to continuously improve our processes and give our customers assurance that controlled processes are established and maintained.
