Edwin Henry Booth had one simple aim, to sell the best food and drink available, in attractive stores, staffed with first class assistants. Since 1847, Booths have worked closely with local suppliers from a variety of Northern counties: Lancashire, Cheshire, Cumbria and Yorkshire.
Booths is a chain of high-end supermarkets in Northern England. Most of its branches are located in Lancashire, but there are also branches in Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester and North Yorkshire and a single branch in West Yorkshire.

Winterhalter undercounter UC Series was chosen for the delicatessen counters. The machines are compact but have a large capacity allowing them to deal with the trays and presentation dishes used in the presentation of meats and cheeses. The delicatessen is a particularly stylish area of the store and the undercounter dishwashers sit front of house. The modern design of the Winterhalter, sits comfortably in the glass surroundings of the cleaning area.
One of the frustrations of operators is the conflict that can occur between manufacturer and chemical supplier. Working with Winterhalter has meant that as a business, Booths only has to deal with one supplier. If any there are any issues with machine or chemicals, Booths only make one call and get their issue addressed first time. Whatever the issue, Booths are up and running first time and much quicker.
Booths employ several hundred staff in each of its supermarkets. The staff canteen is a hive of activity and lots of hungry staff produce a lot of dirty crockery, cutlery and glasses. To deal with this quantity of dirties, Booths have a large multi-tank, rack conveyor dishwasher. The system is superb for coping with large numbers of diners and provides a quick but brilliant wash result.
