WINTERHALTER UK EXPANDS ITS BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT TEAM
Experienced catering equipment sales executive with years in industry joins Winterhalter UK
Kristian Mort has joined Winterhalter UK as business development manager for East Midlands and East of England. Using his experience of selling a diverse range of catering products in various sectors of the hospitality industry, he will focus on building Winterhalter’s presence and growth in the market throughout the East, and as far north as Newcastle.
Kristian has spent his entire working life in the catering equipment industry. Prior to his new role he worked at Bunzl for 28 years, firstly with Bunzl Lockhart Catering Equipment (26 years) followed by a two year spell with Bunzl Catering Supplies. He held various roles within these businesses, including national account manager supporting public sector customers such as the Ministries of Defence and Justice, as well as the NHS.
“I grew up in this industry selling commercial catering equipment to both end users and dealers,” Kristian says. “Winterhalter is a business and product range I have long admired and championed, so I’m beyond thrilled to now be working for them.”
This will be the first time he will specialise in warewashers. For Kristian, becoming an expert in this equipment is paramount.
“This way I can add value not just to existing customers, but also help to cultivate and grow Winterhalter’s presence even further in the market.”
“I believe my extensive experience selling all types of catering equipment is a key foundation to this new role. It enables me to take a truly holistic approach when supporting customers. It’s all connected; getting your warewashing right can add true value and benefits to the entire catering operation.”
Outside the hospitality trade, Kristian’s interests include football (he supports Leicester City: “go on you Foxes!”), travel and fine dining. He has been married for ten years, has two children, a dog (Olive) and a goldfish, which is named, Goldie.
“Imaginative I know! We also have an Axolotl named Barbara…”
When it comes to the future and his new role within Winterhalter, Kristian is excited to be working for a company he has long admired.
“This is an opportunity to join a truly market leading brand with a proven track record of innovation and excellence in everything they do. It’s great to now be part of such a dynamic and inspirational team/business!”
